CuW Alloy Contacts CuW50 CuW70 CuW75 CuW80 CuW90 Contacts for Electrical Usage
Tungsten copper alloy contacts are widely used where the combination of high heat resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and low thermal expansion are needed. Some of the applications are in electric resistance welding, as electrical contacts and heat sinks. As contact material, the tungsten copper alloy is resistant to erosion by electric arc. WCu alloys are also used in electrodes for electrical discharge machining and electrochemical machining.
Tungsten copper contacts can be used as electrical contact material, thanks to the good performance of electrical conductivity. The tungsten copper contacts have the high density, good machinability, great mechanical properties and high modulus of the elasticity. There are some common types such as CuW50, CuW70, Cuw75, Cuw80, Cuw90. The density of the tungsten copper is 15.5~18.0g/cm3. Those tungsten copper contacts meet the standard ISO9001:2008 and ASTM B702.
The high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper are combined with the arc-resistant and non-welding properties of tungsten. And then they form an extensive series of compositions. Each the tungsten copper product is designed to give the best performance for your particular application.
